That was time well spent with my cup of coffee this Saturday morning, Donald. I've had an inkling of how to describe permaculture in the past, but this makes it come together for me.

I can actually visualize solutions immediately and in the long term. Has anyone seen the pbs special about the Australian businessman going to Indonesia and beginning carbon trading to stop the burning of trees/poaching of farmland there? This is almost what they decided to do without knowing it...growing up, in little circles of forest, with diverse little gardens along the edges.

But right now, where I live, it feels encouraging to know it was possible during WWII to produce 40% of fruits and veggies in gardens. Pretty cool way to be patriotic, I thought.

Thanks again. I felt inspired enough that I didn't want it to be over! :)
