Commercial growers of pesticide sensitive crops can enter their crop locations and contact information, whi… Continue

Show Them Your Dirt

I still haven't seen how to order the DVD of "Dirt! The Movie" or even how much it will cost. Or whether it could be shown publicly to a group. But there are probably other people interested in seeing it, when it's available.

The following is a new promotion:

"Is there a community garden that means a lot to you? A hilltop near your childhood home that tells a story? A patch of dirt or farm you brought back to life?

Before the last leaves fall or the snow covers the ground (region contingent o… Continue

Social Media and Marketing Tips

I saw this Georgia marketing campaign (http://yougottabekidding.org/) for recycling in the curbside recycling newsletter, "Bin Buzz' (http://www.recyclecurbside.org/index.cfm). This issue is focused on social media and marketing. I thought one or both links would be of interest to some in this group....

Good to know you are working with the NE Department of Agriculture. I've been serving on the State Emerald Ash Borer Working Group with Julie Van Meter. Do you work with any of the pesticides used to care for trees?

Anyway, I'll have to look into returning to Grand Island for Husker Harvest Days. My parents live in GI so I have a place to stay during the event. Lodging is hard to come by. I recall some of the people I met had to stay in Hastings.

I would also like to get the Nebraska Arborists Association to participate.

Hope to run into you at an event or meeting. Do the members of the Lincoln Green Scene ever get together?

Sincerely, Robert

Gosh I seemed like so long ago when we were at Husker Harvest Days. I was just telling someone here at work what a great outreach opportunity that event was for the Foundation. So what are you up to these days?
