We recycle curbside with Star City. They take so many things. We stopped our garbage service a year ago, and I love going to the transfer station. We can separate our garden waste (that goes into the city compost), brush (that gets ground into wood chips), metal (now we save the lids from home canned food and little pieces of metal that we would ordinarily throw in the garbage) and we have just a little actual garbage.
It is only $3 for a car load. We go about once a month except during garden clean up time.
