Wow. I hadn't been the the Pioneer Nature Center for several years. It is really impressive. l took the tour this past Saturday- Very green design. And the gardens and trails have really been updated. I highly recommend a visit- it's truly an educational experience, for all ages.

Rosina just called to tell me that Wilderness Park is having a trail maintenance work day this Sunday, May 24, 2009, starting at 9:00a.m. at the trail head by Old Cheney Road in Wilderness Park. Her computer was down, so she wanted me to post.

Sondra, we will have the next run in the summer. We are going to try for seasonal runs, spring, summer, fall, winter. The next run will have a longer and shorter loop for variety. Thanks for your interest.

I will post the next run on this site.

The Pioneer trailhead and trail to the south under the bridge is completed. Thanks to the folks and Parks and Rec. The erosion control is appreciated.

I love WP even if a tree tried to kill me there!

With the Jamaica Trail being put back together the alternate use trail will be fixed by Parks and Rec. in the next week or so.

At this time the path that goes from the Pioneer Trailhead south is being re graded to prevent erosion. Expect to see a back hoe and bobcat in the area. Dirt will elevate the level at the bottom of the hill under the bridge w/ rock to keep the Salt Creek bank from eroding.
