Lincoln Green Scene

Lincoln, NE: sharing what "green" we have to attract what we lack.

We need some posters to easily download from our site and post about town!

I know that Lincoln Green Scene's font is pretty dated, and it's subjective as to whether or not you find that interesting and retro, but one of the reasons we chose it here on the Green Scene was because it emphasizes reuse before recycling. Ha! I mean, I've seen Cooper Black on a lot of shirts people are buying at thrift stores again, AND it's in most everyone's font book (ok - unless it's one of them that you removed so that your software will upload faster.:) )

So using Cooper Black font for your display font, and the two descriptors, please design us some posters! Here are the two descriptors:

Lincoln, NE: sharing what "green" we have to attract what we lack.

Our mission is to put individuals, organizations and businesses together to make Lincoln, Nebraska the greenest city in the USA!

Make sure to convert to .pdf. Here's a free download in case you are scanning stuff as jpg's and editing in something without one:

PDF Re-Direct

For practicality, they need to be 8.5" x 11" so everyone in Lincoln could conceivably print from home.

Here are some examples of awesome posters and designers I found on Treehugger. I love how they used old war posters as inspiration.

If you have some images scanned and you are having trouble converting to .pdf, send them to me and I can convert them for you.

Also, feel free to post this to facebook or other social sites. Even artists who don't live in Lincoln could help us out. I'll post an AddThis button on this page to make it easier, and a note in my own facebook account, mentioning friends who are designers anywhere. :)

Have you seen the power to the poster project? Something like this could be virtually expense free and easy for people to take charge and distribute themselves.

Otherwise, we could offer hand screen printed posters in limited runs if you wanted to sell some really cool posters.

Yeah! Justin Kemmerling! I need to post a link to that to give props to a local artist example:

Thanks for adding that detail for options to print. Limited runs would be awesome. I need to work one up myself, now. :)
