Lincoln Green Scene

Lincoln, NE: sharing what "green" we have to attract what we lack.

Hello All,

This last July, RecycleLink unveiled a new curbside recycling service rewarding recyclers for rolling their gray cart to the curb. For just $8 per month recyclers are receiving weekly service, a 68 gallon cart and rewards/discounts and stores all over Lincoln and online.

How the program works:
1. Mix all your recyclables into the cart. Magazines, junk mail, phone books, newspapers, plastics 1, 2, 3, and 5's, cardboard, pop boxes, tin cans.

2. Wheel the cart to the curb once a week on your day.

3. Log on to www.recyclebank.com with your user information (mailed to you after you receive your cart)
4. See how many points you earned each week.

5. Find rewards that you want.

6. Add the rewards to your account

7. Rewards sent to you in 3-4 days

8. Redeem

9. Do it again

Recyclers are earn about 300 points each month. Rewards require anywhere from 10-100 points.
Most recyclers easily offset the $8 by using the coupons.

Let me know what you think, like dislike, want to know more about.
