This is a really good addition to the city's drop off program. For those who don't want to track out to the drop offs call RecycleLink for curbside service that gives RecycleBank Rewards for recycling. 466-0412, www.recyclelink.com

My wife's optometrist, apparently listening to too much talk radio, told her the other day that recycling does more harm to the environment than good. Curious about the facts on this, I turned to a reliable source, the magazine Popular Mechanics. Check out their response at www.popularmechanics.com/home_journal/how_your_house_works/4291566.... .

This is such a step in the right direction!!! We were so excited to see this happen. Before we started STAR CITY RECYCLING my kids LOVED going to the drop off sites. I am glad Lincoln offers them and is continuing to expand what they will take.

(And just so you know STAR CITY RECYCLING takes more than any other recycling company in this part of the country!! Some companies don't take glass - we do. For a full list of what we recycle see our website www.starcityrecycling.info or call us at 890-4320.)

There are several good LOCAL recycling companies - but not all are. I think it's important to "buy Lincoln".

Wow! You really do have an extensive list of things you recycle.

One question: I have heard there is some controversy about whether every local company that says they recycle styrofoam really does. Can you share any insights on this?
