Event Description

Seen any burning rivers lately? Do you enjoy clean air? Enjoy a little wilderness now and again? Come say, thank you, to the Earth.

Plans are under way for the 2010 Lincoln Earth Day Celebration. Join the planning committee every Tuesday evening from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Lincoln Community Foundation (5th Floor Conference Room), and pitch in your ideas and energy in making this a great event.

Community-centered events and activities will begin on Saturday, April 17, when interested citizens can engage in a Global Day of Service. Then, on Thursday, April 22, the community will be exposed to a Global Day of Communication with lectures and other teach-ins throughout the community. This important Earth Week will conclude on Saturday, April 24, for the Global Day of Celebration. The community-wide celebration of a healthy environment will begin with a 5K run and follow with a community celebration in Antelope Park from 2 to 6pm.

Volunteers are needed for planning and for each specific day. Please consider joining the dedicated group of planners for this years events. Thank you!

Fantastic line-up of events.

Hi Dan! I would like to help volunteer - let me know when the first planning meeting is. I might not be able to make it by 5:30 on Tuesdays, but we'll see.
Are you planning on the Green Wheels Week again this year?
